Protect Lipo from PCP with THT Parts ESD or non-ESD foam?

I have a Seeeduino Stalker board (Arduino clone with solar charger, RTC, SD and Bee socket) and want to place it in a box directly above a Lipo. As many lipos it has only a thin plastic / whatever cover, see http://shop.sodaq.com/en/shenzhen-2u-lithium-ion-polymer-battery-12-ah.html So the THT parts of the PCB can damage the covering of the battery.

My solution is now to place a piece of foam between board and lipo. But I wonder do I have to use ESD (electrostatic discharge) foam like this one http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/1337408/ or is this exactly the wrong material and it can lead to short circuit on the THT parts because the foam is conductive?

What material would you use. It is a waterproof box with the board, beneath the lipo on top a shield and solar.

I think this may help.
