Proto-PIC Starter Kit for Arduino UNO

I'm a Computer Science student starting with electronics for the first time.

I've tried my best to thoroughly go through many starter kits and the one that has attracted me the most so far is the Proto-PIC Starter Kit for Arduino UNO [Amazon].

1 x Arduino UNO R3 board
1 x USB A-B Cable
1 x Breadboard
A selection of 50 Premium male to male jumper wires (this replaces the 70 x Standard jumper wires - they are better wires!)
10 x Red Led
10 x Green Led
1 x RGB led
10 x 10nF Ceramic Capacitors
10 x 100nF Ceramic Capacitors
5 x 100uF Electrolytic Capacitors
10 x 330? Resistors
10 x 1k? Resistors
10 x 10k? Resistors
1 x Tilt switch
1 x Thermistor (Datasheet)
1 x Photo Resistor
1 x Diode
1 x Buzzer
5 x Push button switches
5 x Slide switches
1 x Mini Servo
1 x Potentiometer with knob
1 x Plastic Box
1 x 9V battery clip with 2.1mm plug

My research tells me it has a good amount of I/O components (photoresistor, thermistor, buzzer, pushbuttons, switches, mini servo, potienmeter, LEDs, etc.) which sounds like fun, I'm just not clued up on the other electronic parts... are the jumper wires, capacitors, resistors, diod, etc. all ok and consist of an adequate amount?

This comes in at about £40 ($63/€51) which is around the price range I was going for.

If you have any advise or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to engaging in the Arduino community in the near future.

This looks like a pretty decent starter kit. The jumper wires, capacitors, resistors, etc look like a pretty decent assortment to me.

I think you would be well served by this starter kit.
