Providing power based on input

This may not be the correct board but...

I am fairly new to working with electronics and logic. What I have is 3 or 4 inputs that each are 12v. I need to be able to detect if any of them are hot, and if they are, a single 12v output is turned on. I am not sure how to go about doing this. From the programming standpoint, simple enough as I am a programmer. I have tried searching online for anything related but can't seem to find any good resources.

Correct board, uhm, no, one of the worst to pick... Projects would have been the best one

jpbillings:

Inputs of what? A telephone, computer, Arduino, elephant?

jpbillings:
that each are 12v.

Where is that 12V coming from? And if it's going to an Arduino I hope you don't connect it straight to the Arduino. That will kill it.

I need want to be able to detect

jpbillings:
if any of them are hot,

Wait, hot? As in 100 degree Celsius? 1000 degree Celsius? Or do you mean high? Or above a certain voltage level?

jpbillings:
and if they are, a single 12v output is turned on.

Where does that 12V come from? AC or DC? What does it need to power? How many amps? etc

Okay, so how would you program it in "that" language?

But start with being more descriptive. You know what you want to do (and it sounds an awful lot like a simple 4 port OR gate) but you're kind of scarce with the details (that matter).
