Not low enough, but at least 3.3V is over the threshold with IRLZ44, unlike irf3205.
Since this current is for a heater, generating heat isn't a problem, as long as it can be dissipated away from the MOSFET fast enough.
Perhaps the MOSFET could be thermally bonded to a large metallic object like the case of the heater?
