Pull down to turn on a9g GSM/GPRS+GPS

Hi,

reading specifications of a9g, to turn on a9g with pins say that:

you must press power-key for a while to power up the module, or just pull down the power-key pin.

Than I connect ground with power-key pin to turn on and it works , but shoukd I keep the connection, should I quit connection or doesn'`t it matter?
