ried searching logic level operation push buttons and I'm getting buttons with only 2 posts vs the four in the ones I've currently got in the list

The switches linked in your opening post consist of two separate sets of contacts.

There's one of each type, hence four contacts.  Usually only one set is used depending on the application.
