Given an object, say a book, I would like a simple machine that can push one of its corners with certain force to have an effect of rotating the book.
After researching, seems like a linear actuator or a rack and pinion servo motor can be used for pushing.
I would love to hear your suggestions on achieving this!

Pushing a book normally translates it too. Perhaps you want only rotation?

If you want only rotation, then you must supply a pivot point to control the other movement.
