Pushbutton LED switches

Not sure where to post this...

I'm looking for these switches. Toggle button with an LED on the top.

But can't seem to find them anywhere :frowning: I did however find them in the Mouser catalog, but they were upwards of $5 per switch! Yikes!

Also - mouser has a few pots with clear plastic posts and room for a small LED underneath the pot. My problem is that I can't seem to find any knobs for them with a clear top. Anybody have pointers on those too?

Thanks!!

EXACTLY those switches? If so, you'll probably need to spend big bucks unless you happen to find the exact switch at some surplus dealer (which is unlikely.) Retail prices for fancy switches are depressing.
If you can make do with SIMILAR switches, there are some around that aren't too bad:

The magic search phrase for eBay is something like "LED switch" and for Google "Illuminated tactile switch".
You could probably get real close to the look in your picture using s standard tactile switch, separate LED, and carefully shaped plastic "cover."

Perfect! Now that I know the name I can manage finding them. Now I just need them in 3 colors

Just one thing, the switches from the eBay auction are NOT toggle switches they are normally open momentary switches. The switch is only closed as long as you keep it pressed down. So if real toggle switches (that will stay on)are needed for your application they will not work.

The photo didn't look like actual "toggle" switches either - more like momentary buttons with a 'toggle' action implemented in firmware. Your options actually expand a bit if you want switches with latching mechanical action; the variety of lighted rocker switches is much broader than lighted pushbuttons.

They actually are toggle. Push once, on. Push again, off.

I'm trying to not use rocker switches - as they need to be quickly accessed (it's a sequencer)

Still having a hard time finding the ones I need from a supplier. Only found one store, and they only sell black.

I am quite sure that these buttons (used on lots of old Korg and Roland gear) are momentary. Which the eBay auction also clearly says.

The push on / push off functionality is implemented by the underlying systems software.

Well that explains a lot. Thanks for all your help!
