Google can help you. I think we had a similar 6-phase motor question here a year ago.
What motor do you have? Do you have a datasheet for it? What do you want to do different to the drivers that are commercially available? Don't say "save money". It is extremely unlikely that a newbie with an Arduino can make a cheaper controller than the commercial one even if your hours of labour are free.
