I just got a QTPY RP2040 and I am unable to get the port to show the device. I tried installing the board but do not see it anywhere. I can see the QTPY SAMD21 but that board doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

I am using the QTPY to hook up temp/hum and light sensor with an OLED all in I2C for a portable package. This will be used by students to gather data on experiments.

In this specific case, if you are seeing it somewhere in the Arduino IDE user interface, a [screenshot](https://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to-screenshot-on-a-pc) of the IDE window might be helpful.

Please provide a detailed explanation of what you mean by this, including:

- What did you do?
- What were the results you expected from doing that thing?
- What were the results you observed that did not match your expectations?
  - Make sure to include the full and exact text of any error or warning message you might have encountered.

Have you installed the board library for RP2040?
As @ptillisch has said a screenshot would be helpful.

RP2040 are 3.3v only to.
Better off using a 5v board?
Unless you are using this with careful students or have other circuitry. 🙂 🤔

OK, it is clear now. I'll provide instructions for installing support for your "QT Py RP2040" board in Arduino IDE:

1. Select **File \> Preferences** from the Arduino IDE menus.
The " **Preferences**" dialog will open.
2. Enter the following URL into the " **Additional Boards Manager URLs**" field of the " **Preferences**" dialog:

```plaintext
https://github.com/earlephilhower/arduino-pico/releases/download/global/package_rp2040_index.json
```

❗ If there are already Boards Manager URLs in the field, separate them with commas.
3. Click the **OK** button in the " **Preferences**" dialog.
4. Select **Tools \> Board \> Boards Manager** from the Arduino IDE menus.
A " **Boards Manager**" dialog will appear.
5. Wait for the updates to finish, as shown by the messages printed at the bottom of the " **Boards Manager**" dialog.
6. Scroll down through the list of boards platforms until you find the " **Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040**" entry. Click on it.
Some buttons will appear on the entry.
7. Click the **Install** button on the " **Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040**" entry.
8. Wait for the installation to finish.
9. Click the **Close** button on the " **Boards Manager**" dialog.
10. Select **Tools \> Board \> Raspberry Pi RP2040 Boards \> Adafruit QT Py RP2040** from the Arduino IDE menus.
