QTR-1A Safe for eye detecting

Hello,
I’ve tried looking it up but no where has conclusive statement or proof that QTR-1A infrared light sensor is safe for long term eye detecting?

Does anyone know if it is safe for long periods of time?

Infrared can apparently damage your eyes but it’s been used for eye tracking multiple times including in the PS5 VR2 headset, in our devices at home.

There is at least one international standard that deals with the subject of IR and eye safety: EN 62471

And you could probably find others by searching with phrases such as: standards infrared eye tracking safety

But, my first thought was: this is probably not the best place to ask about a potentially serious safety-related issue. Suggest you find an expert in the field. There could be one here. We'll see. I doubt it.

Well I’ve seen many people use it for their PhD, and I’ve found a document that says 10mins max but at a small angle.

Then all the projects I found for arduino says they are safe

It's intended as a line or edge detector for hobby robots. I don't think you will find any government, medical or international regulatory body stating that it's safe to point it into your eye

Does anyone know of any arduino IR eye detectors? That’s are confirmed safe?
