Quadrocopter

Has anyone out there made a Quadrocopter? I'd love to make one but all the other ones I've seen are made with a picaxe. I'd love to see any arduino based ones people have made :D

Hi,

I've found the fallowing project : Welcome to the Wolferl Open Source QuadCopter!

It's based on a PIC microcontroller.

Best Regards,

do you know google?

Search for "Arduino Qudarocopter" and the first 2 hits:

http://code.google.com/p/quaduino-ng/ An Open Source Project with an Arduino Quardocopter

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1066119 The website to it, with about a thousand of users and many people who have build it.

so it has been done ;)

here is a video of this project flying: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGh0r0297Po

awesome :3
i’d love to try and make one of these but alot cheaper and simpler XD

specially since i only have a 3 channel radio >_>

Hi guys! Paul Rene (that’s him in the above video) and I were the first users from the Quaduino thread to build flying quadrocopters using an Arduino. Here’s a fun video with link to our website. Everything is open source so have fun!

Hey i remember seeing those videos a while ago they're so cool! :D Im planning to make something like that for my senior project ;D

The better integrated arduino board for realize Aeroquadro is Multipilot Board. I'm ( Lasernav ) start to port Aeroquadro code to Multipilot Board this is the link of Open Source Project : http://code.google.com/p/lnmultipilot10/ on this channel you can see some video .... www.youtube.com/rnavoni Regards Roberto

I am actually building one as we speak. The planning of the procject is more or less done, I only have to order in the rest of the parts. Opposite to the AeroQuad project(ehich i have to say, is beautifully made) I am using 4 1000w motors, and 60A ESC's and 4 batteries. I've thought about blogging the project so if anyone know a good blog client for this, feel free to speak up. If anyone is planning on doing something similar, send me a PM.

Once the hardware is done, the possibilities for programming are endless.

Once the 3dof(x2) IMU's arrive, I'll se if my kalman filter works as it shall. Exiting :D
