Question about boot loader on the Gammon web page?

I was looking at the code for the boot loaders on the Gammon web page. Good stuff there. I noticed that the loader for the AT2560 was 8K. I'm curious, why use the full 8K when most other boot loaders fit fine in 2K? I know that calls and jumps use more code space if not on the same page but not a 4:1 ratio. I'm just curious. Dwight

No answer? Looking at documents, I believe it is because the bootloader, for the 2560, include an extensive monitor. I'm not sure why it is so large still but that is cool. Looking on the STK500 web page, he has changed the original to have text commands rather than the original binary commands. Dwight
