I am planning on connecting an LED strip to an arduino uno powered by an external 5v battery. Most guides I have seen has said to attach a capacitor to the led strip to smooth out the power supply. I will be using a 1000uF capacitor and am wondering if it would be okay to solder the capacitor directly to the led strip +5v and ground terminals or if there was a specific way I should wire it.
Yep, sounds good.
Thanks!!!

That is the specific way you should wire it.
