question about opening wketches from Jeremy Blum website

Hello,

I am new to Arduino I have some silly questions.

I downloaded BLINK sketch from Jeremy Blum web site. It went to my down load folder. So far so good. When double click it to open it I got a popup saying Arduino 1.6.8 is already installed, it needs to be deleted before I open the Blink Sketch.
So I drag and drop BLINK to desk top and right click it to open it. I got an another popup box saying
need to make a new folder and named it sketch for BLINK to open. Why is that.

Any ideas why that happened.

Because the IDE insist that the sketch be inside a folder of the same name. That's just the way it is.
