Question about shields

Do all shields have to have a separate power source? I want it to be on a robot and maybe power off of the same battery.

A single battery power source can power multible shields if the current capacity of the battery can handle all the loads.

There isn't a design standard for shields, so you can't answer a question about "all shields."

Some require external power, some don't.
