Question about the digitalWrite function

So I'm writing a code to drive my H Bridge (it's the L293NE chip), and I was writing code that would keep calling digitalWrite when lets say the car isn't moving. Here is the code of what I was going to do.

void hBridgeControl::stop(){
for(int i=0; i<6; i++){
digitalWrite(HBridgePins*, LOW);*

    Now if the car is not moving the it would keep calling stop() and keep calling digitalWrite(), I was wondering if this was good for the arduino or not (I have a feeling it would damage it >_>).
