Question: LED connection.

Hello,

I notice sample circuit connection of LED is:
Micro controller → Resistor → LED → Ground.

Would this also work?
Micro controller → LED → Resistor → Ground.

Why or why not?

Yes it is a series circuit the current is always the same through every component in a series circuit.
