Question of battery to power up arduino mega r3 2560

Hey so I bought a battery to power up an arduino mega 2560. It is a Hacker LiPoBattery 7.4V 1300mAh. This link shows where I bought it, it is a Portuguese website, but it has the description in English:
https://www.ptrobotics.com/baterias/4171-hacker-lipobattery-74v-1300mah.html?search_query=Hacker+LiPoBattery+7.4V+1300mAh &results=1

Is it good or not? By the information given in the arduino website I know the voltage is okay, nut should I use an adapter or something like that or can I just "plug it" directly to the arduino.

PS. I am a newbie in electronics.

You will need the proper adapter for the barrel jack, of course.

That part I know, but does it need to have a regulator or something like that or is it just a cable to plug in the arduino?

5.5mm/2.1mm barrel jack connector.

Or connect to Vin & Gnd.

Arduino has 5V and/or 3.3V regulators on board already.

Okay thanks it is just the current that is cofusing me a little bit

The battery can supply more current than the Arduino will use, 1300mA vs tens of mA needed. You are okay there.

thanks
