Greetings,
I am a newby to Arduino and all it might do for me. Please bear with me as I ask some questions
:
I am looking at the AutoM Arduino UNO. I want to drive four 3V DC vibrating motors. From what I have gleaned, I would need to interface the motors to Arduino using a MOSFET since I want to independently vary the motor speed.
Is this the best way to connect the motors?
Can the Arduino be programmed to control the 4 motors all at the same time?
I presume that if I get stuck on the programming, I can get help within these forums. Is that true?
Thanks for answering before I get in too deep!
Hi, welcome to the forum.
Yes, 4 PWM signals to drive 4 logic level n-channel MOSFETs to connect the motor '-' to Gnd for speed control is definitely doable.

Maybe
Help is offered generally from members with experience provided you spend time attempting to resolve your concerns through Internet and Forum searches and make an effort to write your own code. When you ask for help, be specific and post your current full code in "code tags." All is explained in the "stickies" specific to each sub-forum... Right now, this is in the "Microcontrollers" group. Again, read the description of the forum groups, read the stickies specific to that group... Stickies are those bolded entries at the beginning if the listings.
Next, ask reasonable questions ... In a reasonable timeframe. Do not wait 30 days mucking in code and then post 10 questions. No one wants to try and work through your mess. If you hit a snag, do your research, build code to test your knowledge, and then ask for help, Help us help you.
Give references. If you rip off some code from an Internet article, note the link in your code... If helps you and us in following your processes. Use meaningful comments!!! Use meaningful variable names!!! Always use the Tools menu to reformat the code just before posting!!!
Good luck,
Ray
Thanks to you both! I fell much better now.
One other thing.
If you do ask a question expect to get some answers quickly - within an hour or three, perhaps - so check back in case more information is requested.

And the converse, of course - remember some people may only check in here once each 24 hours - if that - but may have the particular information you need.
