Question regarding stepper motor + driver

Hello forum,

I recently bought a stepper motor from Pololu (Pololu - Stepper Motor: Unipolar/Bipolar, 200 Steps/Rev, 42×48mm, 4V, 1.2 A/Phase). To use it with my Arduino MEGA 2560 I need a driver board. I got an DVR8225 (Pololu - DRV8825 Stepper Motor Driver Carrier, High Current (Header Pins Soldered)) lying around and I was curious if I can use it with it.

The stepper needs 4V, 1.2 A/Phase but the minimum operating voltage of the driver is 8.2 V. Therefore I was wondering if it is possible to connect these two components or if i need a driver like this one (Pololu - DRV8834 Low-Voltage Stepper Motor Driver Carrier). A friend of mine also got a L298n driver which is from what I have read is considered bad.

Don't worry about the nominal voltage (4v) of the motor. It is the current (1.2Amps) that matters and the DRV8825 has an adjuster so that you can limit the current to protect the motor. Stepper motors work better with higher voltages - 12v or 24v. I think the DRV8825 can handle 36v.
