Can arduino BT be used to receive images/photos from mobile phones through bluetooth? And if it can be done, any examples which i can follow? Thanks

Umm, probably but I don't think anyone's done it as it wouldn't be easy.

Anything's possible. The first question that comes to my mind is what the Arduino is going to do with the picture.
Typically, image files are large. The Arduino does not have much memory, so it can store only the tiniest pictures.
As Pauls said, everything is possible. I use a Arduino DMN, a S65 Shield, a WiShield and a homebrew BT module to transfer pictures from a mobile to the MC system. These pictures are the size of 172 x 132. The pics can be stored on a SDC which is already on board of the S65 Shield.
Get yourself a S65 shield and the software and combine it with a BT Module.
