Hey all. Pretty new to this and I have made a lot of progress thanks to these forums. I have been making a simulator cockpit. I have created controls for the cockpit lighting using 10k Potentiometers that work in the simulator. I wanted to add LED lighting to the physical cockpit that utilizes the same knob to control the real-world lighting as well. I am not sure I have found a good OR safe way of doing this just yet and was wondering if anyone has any ideas.
The LED component I am using is: Amazon.com: MALIIGAZA COB LED Strip Light, Ultra-Thin 12V 3mm 16.4ft Flexible Cuttable LED Tape CRI>90 Uniform Dotless 384LEDs/M LED Light for Bedroom Home Kitchen Cabinet Christmas Decor-Green (No Power Supply) : Tools & Home Improvement
I do not have a current power supply as I was not sure what would be the best option AND the safest. It is important to note that multiple panels use the same knob for lighting intensity so I will probably have 20-30 feet of this total and will have to have linkages between panels to hook them all up.
Part of the reason I was unsure about this is because it is passing data into the Arduino (MEGA 2560) and will also have to pass power through...or so I think.
So any tips, tricks, tutorials, links or otherwise would be greatly appreciated! It is also acceptable to tell me that this will not work at all!
