So I've got a skirt with LEDs sewn into it I'd like to wear to an event this Friday night, and in order to prevent the threads from crossing and shorting I need to insulate the thread. Something like fabric paint or fabric glue is suggested; I don't have access to those at the moment. I have normal Elmer's glue and tape. In a fix, would it be effective to cover my wires with tape or glue to prevent a short circuit?
Yes, tape will work. Or fingernail polish might work.

As long as the tape isn't metal.
Fabric & glue would also work. Tape without glue might come off. Clear fingernail polish is a good idea, but there's a chance it could wear-through.
