Quick Question about compatibility of shield and controller

I know this is Arduino forums not other microcontroller but I thought I would ask anyway.

I have a Wemos D1 R32(ESP32) controller that is shaped very similarly to the Uno D3 and I have a HW-130 motor shield that supposedly has compatibility with a bunch of MCs but before I spend anymore time trying to find a project that uses both I thought I would ask. Are they compatible?

My plan is to make a wirelessly controlled car with the Wemos and shield. It would be 2 motors and one servo, and a couple LEDs. Nothing too fancy, but I would like to use the shield because 1, I have it and 2, because it keeps the build small.

If you don't think it is compatible, easily do you have a wireless car build project for the wemos that I could look at?

Thanks in advance.

I am not having much luck finding a data sheet for that motor shield. Please post a link to a data sheet, user manual or link to where you got it.

If the shield has the L293 or the L298 drivers, there are much better drivers available nowadays. The technology on those drivers dates from the '70s and is very inefficient. You lose 2 to over 4 volts through the driver outputs as heat. Modern MOSFET output drivers are much much better. Pololu has a good line of drivers and they have good tech support and instructional pages for their products. Choose a driver that will handle the supply voltage and stall current of your motor.

Here is where I bought it:
hw130

and as far as datasheet...
this is a nearly identical shield from adafruit.

here is another bit about it, similar
another one.
