R307 fingerprint sensor not working

Greetings, a few days ago I finally received a fingerprint sensor for a door lock project with Arduino, the fact is that the sensor only turns on momentarily when I connect it to the PC and then proceeds to turn off quickly, I don't think it's a code problem, rather it would be hardware I would say, I have tried to solder cables to the sensor or change them but it still does not work, does anyone know what it could be? Was the sensor faulty? I used a Arduino Mega2560 R3

To which arduino pins your sensor is connected?

What do you receive in the console while the program works?

and when I connect it to the pc it shows

You have an Arduino Mega, it means that in this code:

the second option is evaluated.
You should connect your sensor to Mega Serial1 port - pins 19 (rx) 18 (tx)

In the end, I used an old version of Arduino on a classmate's laptop, surprisingly, it worked there and the sensor works as it should, but when I go to the monitor and put my fingerprint, the program shows an unknown error.
