Radar - Which sensor to use?

Hello, we are looking for a sensor to use for our radarproject. We want pretty long range and it would help if its easy to program.

Not enough detail (which band, what is an acceptable range, what is your budget, CW or Doppler...)

We want to make a radar very much like the one in this tutorial: Arduino Radar Project - YouTube. But we want longer range and preferably the screen will only show a dot instead of red lines all over the object area.

Along with needing to know what "longer range" means, what sort of "screen" do you want to use?

The video you linked to use a program on a PC to generate the image on the screen. Do you want to use the distance sensor in conjunction with a PC?
