radio shack tri color led strip-where is code

I bought the radio shack tri color led strip and, as i have descovered along with many others, the link to the 'code" is non existant. I have found refference to "strip_1m.pde" but I can not find a copy, many discussions about it, but where is the code? I'm about to return the strip out of frustration. :0

A little digging found this...

http://www.radioshack.com/graphics/uc/rsk/Support/SoftwareDownload/2760249.zip

It has a 3 PDF files and a progam called _2760249_Program.ino

I haven't looked at it, only found it Be careful with the 12 volts. The Arduino will not handle 12V without it being shifted down to the 0 to 5V range.

Been there, the file is a .ino format, what is .ino how do I read it.

Never mind just found out newer ver now uses ino extension, will d/l the newer version and try again. thanks

.ino is an arduino sketch file, so inorder to view the file, you need to download and install the arduino software.

Nonsense. While it may have a .ino suffix, it is a text file. You can use any text program such as Windows notepad to look at it.

To run it, you would need some sort of Arduino installation (such as the Arduino IDE, or perhaps Eclipse with Arduino mods, etc.). But to look at it, you just need standard system tools.

You can find the original Radio Shack instructions and code here: https://github.com/RadioShackCorp/2760339-Tricolor-LED-Strip.
