radio transmissions to servo?

so we are working on a project which requires the radio transmision to send a command back to the arduino to release the latch … whenever we turn on the program it is like it decides not to listen to us and just starts moving… how do we get it to listen to only us on the radio…

    the first and last lines are supposed to take it out of transmision and end to recive mode then back…

You need to examine the documentation on the “map” function, if nothing else.
