all i can find are projects with hrc204 ultrasonic and tof laser, that dont measure more than 4 meters.

Then you haven't looked very hard. Benewake has several that go well beyond 4m (TF02 and TF03) and one that goes to 300m. Other manufacturers (e.g. LaserTech) have models that go beyond 1000m and have RS-232. It may also be possible to hack cheaper rangefinders used for golf and hunting.
