I am wondering if anyone else is using a Raspberry pi to control and Arduino controlled robot via Node Red and firmata? For those unfamiliar with it, Node Red is a piece of software you can run on a Linux based machine, which allows for fairly sophisticated programming using a visual programming language. Node Red communicates with the Arduino via usb and controls the Arduino and sends and receives data and controls from the Arduino running firmata.
What sort of dashboard have you come up with for control? What sort of sensor inputs are you running into the Arduino, and how?
