Raw Vs VCC for output

I'm using a pro micro, powered by USB.

I need to supply power to a 5v RC receiver.

I typically do this by wiring the VCC, although my soldering mistake led to that pin being destroyed.

Can I power the receiver via RAW? I presume as long as the input over USB is 5v, I'm good to go?

Cheers mate.

It appears to give voltage, just a smidge under 5v.

And also powers my receiver.

I guess I'm wondering if this is fine, although it'll be unregulated like the VCC is?
