Re: AD8232/promini328 and Raspberry Pi

Would the promini328 board have this feature I found in an O’Reilly lib. ?
“The Arduino team is planning to provide NewSoftSerial with future Arduino downloads. Check the release notes for your Arduino version to see if this software is already included.”
Where are those release notes?
thanks!

Yes, they did that many years ago. They renamed the library SoftwareSerial when they did it. So the SoftwareSerial library that comes with the Arduino AVR Boards platforms is now NewSoftSerial.

https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/ReleaseNotes From the release notes for Arduino IDE 1.0:

  • The SoftwareSerial class has been reimplemented, using the code originally written for the NewSoftSerial library by Mikal Hart. This allows for multiple simultaneous instances, although only one can receive at a time.

Thank you! sounds very promising.
