when I unplug USB, later I plug USB back, then Arduino IDE don't have COM3 anymore. I check device manager, COM3 is available. close IDE, restart IDE, still no COM3. but sometimes COM3 will came back.

I'm using windows Vista.

Could anyone have same problem?

Sometimes I have same problem. My working solution is:

close IDE
disable COM3 in Device manager
enable COM3 in Device manager
open IDE
