Reactable (Electronic Music Playing Interface)

I wasn't for sure where to post this question as this doesn't really relate to an Arduino project. However, i'm needing some quick guidance on a project and thought someone might have possibly built one or has researched it before.

This project is called a Reactable. Below you will find links to a article and video of one. I don't know to much information on them but from what i've read it uses OpenCV for the interface with a projector and camera. Seems like a pretty cool project and would like to know if anyone has attempted a project like this. If you have any guidance or documentation on a project like this being built could you please share.

Also the article talks about it using a open source software called OpenCV. I'm not sure how it relates to PD as it's open source as well and looks like PD could be used just as well with this kind of project. Here is a link that describes PD "puredata". I've also included a link that talks about OpenCV as well in case someone would like a reference to what they are. OpenCV http://opencv.org/ and PD http://puredata.info/

As its not really an Arduino based project and uses some specialized software e.g. OpenCV, I think you'd be better off posting your question to a forum related to openCV.

or as its Google, I presume that the screen is driven by Android, so you could try posting to an Android forum.
e.g.

Thanks will do. I posted a discussion on the google hangout site for OpenCV.
