I have a carPC in my car and want to use an old headunit i have to get AM/FM reception.
Ive figured out how to interface the buttons (5 outputs) so i could control source, AM/FM, ON/OFF and seek up and down. I also know the pinout for the lcd and have 2 input pins up for AM/FM and source, so right now i can change channels and from AM/FM.
I would like to know if anyone knows if i can read the 3 7seg diplays with the remaining pins 12pins of the arduino pro(I need to keep the RX and TX pins so i can send commands).
Right now i figure i would need 5 inputs for the FM decimal (only odd nums) then 7 for the unit, so i would be missing 7 other inputs for the tens and hundred, so any help or tips to use less pins would be appreciated
