Read source

Received my Arduino a few month’s ago and had to restore my system.

I was wondering if there is a way to read/download the code uploaded to the Atmega328?

Thanks
Bob

No - the best you can do (with an AVR ISP programmer, BTW) would be to download the binary HEX code. This could be turned into AVR assembler (possibly) - but getting back to the C/C++ that the Arduino uses, while its possible to do so (though it would look nothing like what you originally coded), isn't something that currently exists (ie, an AVR assembler to C/C++ decompiler).

Sorry - you are SOL. Invest in a backup solution for the future...

I do. It just wasn’t selected because it was in improvement trials.

Not too big a deal. Just curious it it was possible so I could see what changes I made. I have all the original code, just don’t have improvement trials. Then when I walked away for more than a month I forgot what I did.

Hmmm… I can’t remember anything further back than breakfast.

I don't feel so bad then forgeting from yesterday
