Reading a potentiometer through ethernet

Hi. I'm trying to read a potentiometer from one Arduino and send its value through ethernet to another Arduino to read it. I looked into it a little and it looked like I would use UDP packets. I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this.

Here is the code I was trying on the Arduino that would be sending the information and had the potentiometer connected to it:

Am I going about this the correct way? If so, what code would I use on the other Arduino to read this information?

The below code demonstrates a server method to send the arduino analog input pin values via the internet. You would use client code to request the values from the server.

You are close, but you must specify the remote ip and port unless you have just received a packet from the other device.

I use netcat on the receiving computer to test the send.
