I had a question came up to my mind.
what is the optimal baud rate and prescale rate of the analogread function that i may want to use when I want to read a normal TV remote signal on an arduino-based oscilloscope?

As fast as it will go to start off with, only slow it down once you have measured the pulse width accurately and you want to see more of the code pattern.
