Reading a usb key with an arduino yun

I just buyed an Arduino Yun and I want to know if it's possible to read data from a usb key just like an SD card ?

Thankyou for your answers.

Yes.

If you want to read data from the keyboard, then you need to log into the Linux side of the Yun and attach a keyboard to the USB HOST interface (the big USB plug on the Yun).

By USB key, I assume he means a thumb drive or jump drive (a keychain drive.)

You should be able to just plug it in, and it will mount just like an SD card. After plugging it in, see what volumes are listed in /mnt/

Thankyou for your answers, I think it will work.

By the way, Shadow_710,
what is it you are trying to get to work?

Jesse

I was trying to retrive data from a usb keychain.

The Yun supports 4 flash drives if I remember it right. With the sd card inserted, you can connect a USB hub with 3 extra usb flash drives.

Shadow_710, what is your avatar ? a schematic of a TV ?
