Reading an analog signal, delaying it, and sending it through

Hello, I am trying to build a guitar pedal that takes the raw output of an electric guitar, delay it for like 10 or 20ms (adjustable with a pot hopefully) and send it through the pedal. If anyone is curious, this will be used to create a slapback effect. The original guitar signal will be split into two lines, one of them will be going to one amplifier, and the other one will be going to another amplifier, but delayed slightly. This tiny delay will cause an original effect to occur naturally. How can I do this? Basically, I want anything I play to go into the amp with a certain delay that I can adjust. Any help is much appreciated.

if that is all that you want to do, a circuit with op-amps probably would be simpler to build that to create the coding for the signal processing.
