Reading arduino output as X360 controller input on computer

Hello everybody,

Some friends and I are working on a prototype controller to control "Octodad: The Dadliest Catch" - it's going to be awesome!

My question is this. How do we use the output from the Arduino sensors to emulate X360 controller input on the computer the game is running on? There are tons of guides on how to mod your X360 to use Arduino, but I can't seem to find any guidelines on how to reverse the flow of information?

What I'm looking for is something like Xpadder, only in reverse. I hope you know what I mean

If you know a tutorial/example or similar project, I'd love a pointer or just some general advice/tips.

Thank you
