Reading data from LCD display 20x2 4bit

I found this post in the forum posted by "adriamartinez", but unfortunately I did not see any solution to the question.
No sample code has been posted.
However, I have read that the solution has been found.
I have the same problem, I have to read a LCD 20x2 4bit because the circuit is old and can not be changed.
Basically I have to read the characters written on the display to process them and replicate them on another graphic display.
Can anybody help me.

Why? Because you have simply failed to describe your situation an any fashion whatsoever.

What is this circuit? Who constructed it? Do you have the schematic? What microcontroller does it use? What does it do? Describe what the equipment is. Post pictures.
