Reading from Kamstrup Multical 603, anyone with success?

Hey there,

until the beginning of this year we had a Multical 401 energy meter in our house and I was able to read the data from it with an IR dongle. However now it got replaced by the energy company with a modern version 603. Sadly that one doesn´t work with the 401 script.

I know there is a plugin/script for HomeAssistant but that requires a huge overhead for a simple reading that could be done with a small arduino or esp8266.

Anyone with success ?
