Reading .h and .ccp files

Neebee question. I would like to read the .h and .ccp files. When I open them in NotePad, the lines are all stringed together. What software or method should be used to open and read these files?

The enter key! XD XD XD Alternatively, copy and paste it into the arduino IDE, use auto-format, then copy and paste it back.

This is a new-line style problem - Notepad doesn't recognise newline characters and relies on carriage-returns... Try Wordpad, I think it does a better job.

You should be thinking about chosing a good text editor for your future programming needs and not relying on such accessories as Notepad or Wordpad!

I agree with MarkT. I am using the free NotePad++. You can get your copy here: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

Another very nice free programming editor is here:

Open the file and save it with Wordpad. Then it will work in Notepad, at least once. Best advice is to get a programming or text editor you like. It is sort of like getting married. Be certain to get one you can live with for the long haul, it can be frustrating to change. Try several before you make a choice.

My fingers learned Gedit in Linux quite a while ago. There is a Windows binary for Gedit. Too bad I cannot print from it. Grrrrrrr.

Then there is VIM. Which has many good features :).
