I am looking for sensor/module for rfid device that can detect and read tags just like at many stores when you walk through the gate.
What frequency and type of rfid is it? And what type of tags can be used?
How easy is to program it?
I appreciate any information.

Those devices are not RFID readers. No tags. The purchased articles have a tuned circuit, coil and capacitor with a magnetic switch in series. If the article has been purchased the article is run over an AC powered electromagnet to disable the magnetic switch and open the circuit.
If the article still has the intact circuit, the low frequency signal from the sensor can detect the disturbance and sound the alarm. As I recall the frequency is in the area of 8 mHz.
Google ""antitheft tags". There are numerous designs.
