Reason for locked threads

I see a lot of locked threads but I have no idea why on most.

I wonder if it is possible for the last entry to have a very short note as to why it is locked.

They all include posts from myself........... ALL of my posts over the past 2 years were accidentally deleted, they are in the process of being recovered, it appears the locked attribute is part of this process.

They are locked because they are not actual threads but redirects. It's a breadcrumb left behind when a moderator moves or merges to help folks find the thread's new home.
