Rebound Counter program

So I am a complete newbie on all of this but what I am trying to do is build a “counter for my son who plays lacrosse. Basically I was thinking of using an arduino Uno and a knock sensor and somehow attach it to a sheet or two of plywood in the shop and have it connected, somehow, to a 3 digit counter so it could show him how many he has done. It would need to have a reset button and all of that. Anyone have any help????

By the way, when I say I am a newbie, today is my first day ever laying hands on an arduino.

Suggest you go thru the sample sketches that come with the IDE.

When you have master these, proceed with your project.

We always recommend you to start with a schematic showing what components you think would be required.
