I fancy making a synth that is controlled by a MIDI keyboard - but the keyboard in question has only USB MIDI output.

Is it worth bothering? Or should I dig out an big fat old keyboard with DIN?

USB midi -> DIN midi host devices look real expensive, but I dunno, maybe a Teensy can read the midi although it's starting to feel like a bad idea

I would have thought that it is worth persevering with USB, especially now that the MIDI 2.0 specification has been announced.
