receiving udp packets with esp8266 doesn't work

Hey guys,

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is a bug in esp8266’s firmware.

My esp8266 is able to connect to my WiFi and when using tcp, all works fine. But I really want to use udp.

What I tried:

AT+CWMODE=1
OK
AT+CWJAP=“SSID”,“PW”
OK
AT+CIPMUX=0
OK
AT+CIPSTART=“UDP”,“0”,0,1337,2
OK

Now, when I try to send a udp packet to this port, I receive an ICMP packet (port unreachable). And

AT+CIPSEND=…

leads to a “type error”.

The firmware installed on esp8266 is 0018000902-AI03. Is there something wrong with it?

Does anyone has an idea about it? If it is a bug in the firmware, who knows a working firmware in terms of using udp?

Thanks!
